Ian Verseveldt, Registered Psychologist

Get to Know Ian

Ian is the founder and former Director of the Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy program (2009) and was an Associate Professor at ACTS of Trinity Western University until 2023 where he taught in the area of couple relationships, family function, and the emotional, ethical and skill development of the therapist. He had been teaching at Trinity Western University since 1995

Ian’s background

Ian has been working with individuals, couples and families since 1984. After extensive training and supervision, Ian now specializes in working with couples and families integrating the research and skills of  Emotionally Focused (EFT), AEDP and InterFamily Systems. He is a CACFT Approved Supervisor – Mentor, supervising students and clinicians in Canada and abroad. He is a regular invited speaker and supervisor in Latin America where he teaches Emotionally Focused Therapy, Ethical Issues in Professional Practice, and The Self of the Therapist among other topics.

Ian has been married for over 35 years and has 5 grown children. He likes to spend time in the wilderness; hiking, and kayaking.

    Note: We ask that clients pay for their sessions directly. We will then issue a receipt, which you may submit to your provider for reimbursement. We are unable to bill your provider directly.
