Get to Know Janice

Her passion for children and family has led Janice on the journey of becoming a Play Therapist. Play is the language of children. Through play, children learn, communicate, heal, grow, and express themselves. Besides the child’s own therapeutic journey, a huge and essential part of a child’s healing and support come from their family and community. Her hope is to walk alongside parents/caregivers and empower them to support their child(ren) outside of the therapy room.

What to Expect

Regardless of age, Janice believes that we all have an inner child who lives inside our hearts. My hope is to offer a safe and warm environment for clients, young and old, to rediscover, reconnect, and to bring growth and healing to their inner child.

Authenticity is another core value in her approach in life as well as in therapy. “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are” - Carl Jung. From contemplation to taking a step forward in this counselling journey, it takes courage and a willingness to take the risk of vulnerability. It’s an honour and a privilege to embark on this therapy journey towards a more fulfilling connection with yourself and with others, and do it together - one imperfect human with another imperfect human.
