Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Just as physical first aid is administered to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate treatment is found or until the crisis is resolved.
The MHFA for Adults Who Interact with Youth adaptation focuses on mental health problems and first aid for youth ages 12 to 24. The majority of mental health problems develop during adolescence or early adulthood.

Cameron Keller, President of Kaleidoscope Training and Consulting will be your instructor. In his former role of Vice President with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, he grew this program to over 100,000 first aiders in Canada. His creative and enthusiastic delivery of this course draws on his many years of experience as a mental health professional and national executive. Cameron is a clinician, executive coach and mental health and wellness consultant.

The course will be delivered in Burnaby Heights on March 1 and 2, 20178 Each day begins at 8:30am and ends at 5:00pm. Participants have access to ample free parking onsite.
