Get to Know Emma

Emma believes that every individual carries their own wisdom and the innate energy to change. Her work focuses on helping you reconnect with that inner resourcefulness and uncover the path toward your own becoming. She has experience supporting clients through many types of transitions, including immigration, becoming new parents, divorce, and other significant shifts in life roles. She believes that chaos is often the beginning of transformation, and she is passionate about walking alongside people as they move through these moments of change.

Education, Focus Areas, and Modalities

Emma is currently a master’s student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Trinity Western University. Her work with individuals is informed by Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), creating a corrective emotional experience. Her work with couples integrates Gottman Method Couples Therapy, providing a tangible and structured process in the midst of relational chaos. Her work with families is supported by Sandtray Therapy, engaging the whole family system to support the child’s healing.

Emma's area of practice includes individuals, couples, and children & families.

Emma's Background

Emma grew up in Tianjin, China, and moved to Canada in 2018. Her journey as an immigrant brings an added layer of cultural sensitivity and understanding to her work. She offers services in both English and Mandarin.

    Note: We ask that clients pay for their sessions directly. We will then issue a receipt, which you may submit to your provider for reimbursement. We are unable to bill your provider directly.
