Koby Hale, Registered Marriage & Family Therapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor, Collaborative Coach

Get to Know Koby

Koby works with individuals and couples as a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor, and Collaborative Divorce Coach.  As an Approved Clinical Supervisor (BCACC) and Supervisor Qualifying (CACFT, formerly CAMFT), she also provides Clinical Supervision and Clinical Consultation.

Therapy

It is her privilege to support clients through relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional distress, loss, trauma, stressors, and spiritual formation in pursuit of wellness and long-lasting change.

Koby’s approach is highly collaborative with a deep respect for her clients and their realities. She uses attachment-based, emotionally-focused treatment methods, which honour emotions as an organizer of inner experience and ways people relate to themselves and others.

Koby views people as whole beings with bodies, minds, emotions, and spirits, lived out in relationship. She believes life is lived through relationships and systems – both inside and outside of a person. Repairing these relationships and systems in therapy gives way to healing and enduring change. These corrective experiences help foster more peace, balance, resilience, secure connections, and hope for the future.

Koby’s clients teach her every day that hope, resilience, and healthy possibilities are never out of reach. She would love to partner with you to help you experience these things as well.

Collaborative Coaching

As a Collaborative Divorce Coach, Koby uses her therapeutic skills to help clients remain engaged in the collaborative separation process to create family-driven, family-aligned, sustainable solutions —including, when children are involved, a durable parenting agreement.  It is her aim to reduce the emotional toll of separation and divorce; provide tools to build and maintain respectful, cooperative, and re-structured relationships; and empower parents to provide a healthy, supportive foundation for their kids through skillful co-parenting. More info here.

Supervision

Koby offers individual clinical supervision, specializing in the systemic practice of graduate students and developing therapists.

Koby is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (BCACC) and Supervisor Qualifying (CACFT, formerly CAMFT), passionate about helping clients and therapists experience wholeness.

Supervision hours with Koby (as an RMFT-SQ) contribute toward the hours needed for systemically-trained therapists to credential as a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT) with CACFT (formerly CAMFT).

In pursuit of ethical care, Koby actively participates in Supervision Mentoring (Supervision of Supervision) and engages in ongoing supervisory training.

Koby's Background

Koby holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (Supervisor Qualifying) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (Approved Clinical Supervisor). Additionally, Koby has specialized training as a Collaborative Divorce Coach.  Her specialized training includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (Couples and Individuals), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, Satir Transformational Therapy, Narrative Therapy, PREPARE/ENRICH, and specialized training related to Collaborative Separation and Divorce.
