BCG • Statement of Faith

What We Believe

  • The eternal existence and unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
  • The divine inspiration of the Scriptures as originally given and their authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  • The universal sinfulness and consequent guilt of the human race whereby mankind is subject to the just judgement of God.
  • The incarnation of the Son of God; He was born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit; lived a sinless life and by His substitutionary death and bodily resurrection effected full salvation for all mankind; by personal faith in Him as Redeemer, a sinner is freely justified.
  • The person of the Holy Spirit, whose work of regeneration, sanctification and anointing with power, results in the reproduction of Christ in the believer and is manifested by the holiness of life, complete love of God and deep concern for the spiritual and temporal welfare of others.
  • The Personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Head, and the gathering of the Body, the Church, to Him. The final judgement determining the everlasting punishment of the wicked and
    the eternal blessedness of the righteous.
